Passion + focus + hard work = sensational skill
This post has nothing to do with copywriting or Web marketing. But it does demonstrate what we can achieve if we have a passion for something, and then focus on it and work our butts off to become extraordinarily good.
If you have a few minutes, please watch the following video of Jeong-Hyun Lim, a 23-year old Korean and self-taught guitarist:
This video originally appeared on youtube.com a little more than a year ago, and to date, it has generated close to 15 million views. I think it's safe to assume that even if you have never plucked a string on a guitar, you can recognize this young man's greatness with a guitar.
He didn't get that way just by wishing ... or dreaming ... but by hard work, hour after hour, until his fingers ached. Now, he makes it look easy. And now, for him, it is easy.
Just as for Tiger Woods, it's relatively easy to hit a golf ball 300 yards straight up the middle of the fairway.
And although I said this post has nothing to do with Internet marketing or copywriting ... actually, it does, when you think about it. Top Internet marketers and copywriters can make a lot of money with relative ease. They can do this only because they have worked their butts off for several years to get to the place they are.
There's no easy way to success ... in Internet marketing or any other field of endeavour. If anyone tells you otherwise (and tries to sell you something in the process), then run, don't walk in the opposite direction.
